YCA meeting

On Monday March 13 there was a meeting of the Ayton branch of the Yorkshire Countrywomen’s Association at Ayton Village Hall.

The chairman Mrs Janet Singleton welcomed members and then discussed the newsletter.

The spring meeting at Hambleton Forum, Northallerton, is on April 5. Tickets £12 to include light refreshments. Guest speaker is Rishi Sunak, MP for Richmond. The Scarborough area lunch at the Downe Arms is on April 27. Annual general meeting at Askham Bryan College, York, is on May 24. Tickets £10, a packed lunch needed. Speakers are two of the Yorkshire Rows. Driffield Show on is on July 19 and Ryedale Show on is on July 25.

She then thanked all those members who had been knitting squares for blankets that are taken to the Rainbow Centre in Scarborough.
