Driver taken to hospital after Scarborough crash

A driver was been taken to hospital after being involved in a traffic collision at a roundabout in Crossgates. A collision took place between a Honda and a Skoda at around 3pm on Tuesday at the roundabout near the Byways pub.

The driver of the Honda was released from the vehicle via the sunroof with the help of paramedics and fire crews after overturning during the collision.

The driver, who was transported to hospital via ambulance, is not believed to have sustained serious injuries.
