Free­dom Festival re­turns

A Scar­bor­ough com­mu­nity group is set to host a free one­day mini festival this week­end.

Scar­bor­ough Free Com­mu­nity, work­ing with To­tally So­cially and the Friends of Oriel Cricket Ground, will stage the third an­nual Free­dom Festival with a host of events lined up.

Scar­bor­ough mu­si­cians, sound en­gi­neers and DJs will per­form and there will be a range of work­shops and ac­tiv­i­ties for all ages

Festival-go­ers are in­vited to bring along food to share for an in­for­mal buf­fet and to also bring use­able items for the give and take stall, where peo­ple can bring and take items com­pletely for free.

Scar­bor­oughFree­domFes­ti­val will take place be­tween noon and 5pm on Sun­day Septem­ber 17 at the town’s Oriel Cricket and Re­cre­ation Ground and is open to ev­ery­one.

Scar­bor­ough Free Com­mu­nity is a mon­ey­less net­work of res­i­dents that share their skills, time and re­sources for the ben­e­fit of other res­i­dents.
