Old-style upbringing

The Scarborough Evening News - - THE VOICE OF SCARBOROUGH -

Oh dear me I am becoming slightly bored by the attention of the national media in matters of so-called ‘sexual abuse’ when all the attention is placed on, what at one time was reasonable, accepted behaviour from both male and female members of the community.

I met my wife in the work place when she was 15 and straight out of school, no lessons about sexual relationships were on offer in the education system, God forbid if you asked a teacher about their views you would be directed to the headmaster for a serious talking to, where he would remind you that anything to do with relationships between the sexes would be dealt with by your parents.

In the workplace sexual banter, from both sexes, was acceptable.
