Westray Chutney

The Scots Magazine - - Focus On… Orkney -

Beetroot and ginger, apricot and apple. These are just two flavours available from this small business in Pierowall on the island of Westray. The company also smokes its own fish which is available to buy alongside its chutneys, and if you want to continue your chutney adventure there is a recipe book available both online and from its shop on the island. The shop has another string to its bow, doubling up as a fish and chip restaurant on Wednesday and Saturdays. Westray is an 80-minute ferry-ride from Kirkwall and worth it if you want to spice up your life. www.westraychutney.co.uk
