Scotland’s maritime history is vast and fascinating and The Scottish Maritime Museum exhibits it fantastically. After having to close their doors before the busy summer months, the museum has strived to ensure that the collections continue to be appreciated online. The 360° virtual tours and 3D collections are brilliant and very user friendly, they even work with a VR headset for a truly immersive experience. The virtual tours of their two vessels, MV Spartan and SY Carola are definitely not to be missed for any naval history buffs, as they include access to areas usually closed off to the public.
