THEATRE His nAME is TiM Zoo roxy (Venue 115) HHHHH
WHILE recognising what’s wrong with this one-man show, it’s important to recognise all the things it gets right. Thomas J Millington’s split-timeframe tale of himself as a teenage schoolboy with a crush and a twentysomething wage slave, also with a crush, is played out with likable passion and enthusiasm from the actor, while his short acoustic songs are nice in a Jack Penate kind of way. There isn’t much to the piece, though, and the actor’s tendency to perform with hands flailing for emphasis becomes very distracting.
Until 30 August. Today 4pm.
