Body found in canal ‘unexplained’
The death of a man found in a canal is being treated as “unexplained”.
The man’s body was discovered in the Forth and Clyde Canal near Falkirk yesterday.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police were called to lock 6 near Bainsford at around 3pm after a man’s body was discovered in the water.
“His death is currently being treated as unexplained however there are no suspicious circumstances. Officers are now in the process of informing his next of kin and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
