Jobs at Scots missile range could be axed
Jobs at the UK’S largest missile range could be cut.
Up to 19 jobs at the Hebrides Range could be cut as part of a review by Ministry of Defence contractor Qinetiq.
The range offers the largest area in the UK for the live-firing of rockets and missiles.
In 2009, a UK government-proposed job cut at the Range was abandoned.
Aqinetiq spokesperson said: “We are committed to doing everything we can to protect employment, supporting those affected to redeploy them into new roles where possible.”
