Pony tails and show jumpers: Horse whisperer takes pair back to their roots
One of Britain’s leading horse trainers has been getting her two ponies used to a different sort of travel – on a tiny boat.
After some practice runs at home in Devon, above left, Emma Massingale, 34, accompanied Albert and Ernie back to their native roots on Shetland.
During the month-long adventure Emma and her ponies travelled around the rugged islands – and even tried on some traditional jumpers. They also visited other native ponies in the Highlands and, after some initial nerves, proved that they were more than happy to take to the water for their adventure.
