More carriages for commuter trains

-

Longer trains have been introduced on the busy commuter route between North Berwick and Edinburgh.

Twelve trains a day will operate with six carriages instead of four until the end of April.

And Scotrail said from the end of next year the Edinburgh-north Berwick/dunbar services would have 40 per cent more seats at peak times. Perry Ramsey of Scotrail said: “Our new trains will be in permanent use on the route, providing a faster service.”
