Kia has given a first glimpse of its new Stonic compact SUV.
With a sharply raked roofline and a unique roof rack, th es tonic is designed to be sporty and practical.
Set to go on sale in the second half of 2017, the Stonic features a ‘floating’ HMI – humanmachine interface – designed to give seamless connectivity between the driver’s smartphone and the car’s systems.
The manufacturer claims the S toni c will be‘ the most custom is ableKiaever’ ,bo thin side and out, with a vast array of options.
Set to make its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the Stonic’s styling features the same ‘tiger nose’ grille as is found on the currentgeneration Sport age, while the rear light design is similar to that found on the Rio.
Due to rival the Nissan Juke, the Stonic is believed to utilise the same platform as the current Rio, which should give it compact proportions ideal for urban driving.
The raised ride height should give a lot of presence on the road too, though there’s no confirmation as to whether or not the Stonicw-illbefour-wheel-drive.
