Gym group primed to go

Low-cost fitness chain The Gym Group said it expects full-year profit to be in line with expectations after solid trading in the first five months of the year.

The company said total members as of end-may were 507,000, up 19.6 per cent versus the first half of last year. Six new gyms will have opened by the end of the first half, increasing the estate to 95 sites,
