United win battle to sign Celtic winger Mcmullan

-

Dundee United have won their transfer tug of war with Hearts for Celtic winger Paul Mcmullan, writes Craig P Stewart.

The 20-year-old, who has played for Stenhousemuir, St Mirren, Morton and Dunfermline on loan, is leaving the Parkhead club without making an appearance, however they will pick up a development fee.

Mcmullan, who scored seven times for the Pars during his season-long loan in the last campaign, opted for life in thechampionshipattannadice as opposed to playing in the Premiership at Tynecastle.

The winger told United’s website: “The manager spoke to me and explained how he wants to play and what my role would be, and it appealed to me.

“I see this as a fantastic opportunityformetoprogress my career at a great club.”
