Life’s too short, divorcing pair told

-

A divorce court judge has told an elderly cruise company boss and his estranged wife to try to settle a big money battle because “life is sometimes shorter than we think”.

Ellen-karine Hagen, 78, and estranged husband Torstein Hagen, 74, a Norwegian businessman who launched Viking Cruises, are fighting over money at a trial in the Family Division of the High Court in London.

The judge heard that the trial is running up legal bills of £100,000 a day and has so far cost the couple £10 million.
