Chocks away: Vintage aeroplanes take flight for Scotland’s National Airshow

Pilot Jim Mctaggart takes his 1940 Piper Cub for a practice flight over the Forth Rail Bridge, Forth Road Bridge and the new Queensferr­y Crossing ahead of the aircraft’s appearance at Scotland’s National Airshow at East Fortune, East Lothian on Saturday. The Red Arrows will appear at this year’s show, alongside Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster aircraft from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
