Body found in search for missing man

A body discovered in Aberdeenshire has been confirmed as that of a missing 62-year-old.

Graeme Leslie was reported missing from his home in St Cyrus last week.

An extensive search was launched in both north east and Tayside police divisions to trace him.

His body was discovered by specialist officers in the local area on Saturday morning. Police Scotland confirmed it was Mr Leslie yesterday.

Inspector Megan Heathershaw said: “Our thoughts are with Mr Leslie’s family and friends at this very sad time.”
