Man arrested following fire in flats

A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged wilful fire-raising incident in East Dunbartonshire.

The incident is alleged to have happened in a topfloor flat in School Lane, Lennoxtown, just after midnight on Tuesday.

Residents from four properties were evacuated from their homes following the blaze.

Police said a 22-year-old man had been arrested and is being held in connection with the incident.
