Derek Fisher had a two-run single and Marwin Gonzalez, Norichika Aoki and Josh Reddick added RBI singles to help the Astros improve their record to 67-33. Edwin Encarnacion slammed a walk-off grand slam in the 11th inning to earn the Cleveland Indians a fifth straight triumph 11-7 over the Los Angeles Angels. Willson Contreras slugged a three-run homer and RBI single to lead the Chicago Cubs to a 7-2 success againstcross-city rivals the White Sox. Travis Shaw, Eric Thames and Manny Pina went deep in the Milwaukee Brewers’ 8-0 win over the Washington Nationals and Ryan Goins drove in two runs with a double to help the Toronto Blue jays beat the Oakland Athletics 4-1. Whit Merrifield homered off the first pitch of the game as the Kansas City Royals made it seven wins in a row with a 3-1 triumph over the Detroit Tigers. Tim Beckham’s three-run homer in a five-run second inning proved enough to squeak the Tampa Bay Rays past the Baltimore Orioles 5-4. Joey Gallo homered twice and Mike Napoli and Rougned Odor also went deep in the Texas Rangers’ 10-4 victory over the Miami Marlins. Harrison Bader doubled in the ninth inning for his first major league hit and then raced home for the game-winning run on Jedd Gyorko’s sacrifice fly in the St Louis Cardinals’ 3-2 win over the Colorado Rockies. Kurt Suzuki homered twice to help the Atlanta Braves overcome the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-3 and the San Francisco Giants routed the Pittsburgh Pirates 11-3. The New York Yankees beat the Cincinnati Reds 4-2, the New York Mets edged past the San Diego Padres 6-5, the Los Angeles Dodgers got the better of the Minnesota Twins 6-2 and Jean Segura’s single in the 13th inning lifted the Seattle Mariners past the Boston Red Sox 6-5.
