Meet Me At Dawn
This is Zinnie Harris’s year at the Edinburgh International Festival, and right at the heart of it is her new play Meet Me At Dawn, co-produced by the International Festival and the Traverse Theatre. Inspired by the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, the play imagines two women washed up on a beach after a disaster at sea. One has lost her partner, the other has different griefs to face; and the Traverse’s Orla O’loughlin directs outstanding actors Neve Mcintosh and Sharon Duncan-brewster, in what should be one of the most significant world premieres of this year’s Festival. Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh, until 27 August
