New season, two league games in and the fans rightfully have the same complaints regarding the standard of officiating in the Premiership. Every year the paying public hope for a rise in standards, every year they are let down.

Let’s be clear – these guys are earning decent money, so the least the fans can expect is a decent performance. Players and teams get punished for their mistakes and yet these officials are not held accountable. Friday night at Firhill, 90 minutes and Bitton makes a mistake under pressure in the box. He fouls Storey, everyone in the ground saw it except an inept ref. There were many other instances over the weekend in other games. It’s time action was taken against them.
