Injuries muddy picture as final too close to call

- By ALASDAIR BRUCE

The Artemis Macaulay Cup final between Kyles Athletic and Newtonmore takes place at Mossfield today. Athletic defender Callum Miller should recover from an ankle knock but Innes Macdonald is out. Newtonmore’s injured duo Drew Macdonald and Chris Sellar are also unlikely to make it. This one is too close to call although Newtonmore have twice beaten Kyles at home this season.

Kinlochshiel will regain top spot in the Marine Harvest Premiership if they take something from their meeting with Glasgow Mid Argyll at Kirkton. Gordie Macdonald is still out for the hosts while former ’Shiel player John Don Mackenzie returns for a GMA side battling relegation.

Relegation-threatened Kilmallie host Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup finalists Lovat. Scott Mackenzie remains out for Lovat as does the banned Lorne Mackay but new signings Marc Maclachlan and Duncan Davidson will get more game time.

Glenurquhart are minus banned defenders John Barr and Lachie Smith but Andrew Corrigan is free of suspension against Oban Camanachd, who are without the suspended Garry Lord and injured Matt Rippon.

The four Marine Harvest National Division title contenders meet as leaders Skye Camanachd welcome Fort William to Pairc nan Laoch and Caberfeidh play Inveraray at Castle Leod.
