-

Stirling Albion hit the front in League 2 after their 2-0 win over Edinburgh City at Forthbank which made it three wins out of three for Dave Mackay’s side.

Marc Laird had the chance to pull a goal back early in the second half but he shot wide and City remain pointless at the opposite end of the table to Stirling. Stirling manager Mackay said: “We are progressing as last season we would not have worked out a way to win, so I am pleased.”

Mark Mcguigan chipped in to give the hosts the lead on seven minutes but Mason Robertson headed in an equaliser on 30 minutes. Nathan Blockley and Jamie Longworth scored in the second half to earn the win.

Elgin City came back from two down to defeat visitors Clyde 3-2, with David Goodwillie’s close-range finish and Jordan Stewart’s 25-yarder looking to have the Bully Wee in control.

Jamie Reid pulled a goal back before half-time and Chris Mcleish restored parity before Brian Cameron netted an injury-time penalty past substitute goalkeeper Ilies Belkacem after Blair Currie was dismissed.

Berwick Rangers opened the scoring through Michael Mckenna at Shielfield against Annan on five minutes but the visitors hit-back to win 5-1.
