Dundee United Eyesore football

-

It wasn’t pretty and it wasn’t entertaining but Saturday’s win over Brechin keeps us top of the league with three wins from three. The focus needs to be all about getting out of this league as champions and if that means winning ugly then so be it, but as a lover of football, United’s disjointed performances aren’t easy on the eye and they will also not get away with playing like that against the teams who will be our main rivals.

The club also need to make sure they aren’t distracted by the farce that is the Irn-bru Cup, which is quickly becoming a financial millstone to clubs who can ill afford trips to Sligo or Oswestry. Talking of farces, please don’t let us get caught up in any talk of ground-sharing with our wee neighbours!
