Motherwell Transfer mystery

-

The frustration of international breaks early in the season is eased considerably by entering them on a high. Motherwell did their bit for the fans on Saturday with a slick win over Hearts but worries will no doubt soon return.

Saturday’s performance was as good as we’ve seen in a long time. Stephen Robinson now boasts a 50 per cent win rate as manager. But how strong his team will be come the closing of the transfer window remains a mystery. The balance of our improving side is still fragile and, even with improved depth, the same pool minus Chris Cadden and Louis Moult is considerably weaker. It is a bitter disappointment that the team currently being crafted could be dismantled without even half a season at its peak.
