Rowley joins unofficial Momentum conference
One of Labour’s newly elected Scottish MPS will appear at a parallel conference organised by pro-jeremy Corbyn campaign group Momentum when the party gathers in Brighton for party conference this month.
Midlothian MP Danielle Rowley will speak at The World Transformed, which criticsofmomentumhavepreviously attacked as a “rival” to the official party conference. Ms Rowley – whose father Alex became interim Scottish Labour leader this week after Kezia Dugdale’s resignation – is the only Scottish MP listed as taking part.
The event will also feature filmmaker Ken Loach, and a talk on the 1960s counterculture-inspired idea of “Acid Corbynism”.
