Aberdeen World Cup joy

-

Despite my protestations about the selection process used by the national manager, I would be lying if I didn’t admit to a certain amount of joy after the World Cup qualifying results.

It’s always nice to be able to celebrate such victories, even if the opponents were not the toughest. Victories were almost inevitable though as it wouldn’t be Scotland if we didn’t fall bravely at the last hurdle, so a win in the next game followed by glorious defeat in the final match is guaranteed.

Meanwhile, with the addition of a loan signing at the close of the transfer window we added much-needed depth in defensive cover – the last piece in a very successful transfer window by the club. The team is definitely stronger than it was four or five months ago.
