Queen of the South sit third after a 2-2 draw at Livingston. The hosts went in front with a Josh Mullin penalty five minutes from half-time but substitute­s Andy Stirling and Derek Lyle turned things around when they found the net for Queens, who also brought on new recruit James Mcfadden. Dylan Mackin tapped in Livingston’s equaliser nine minutes from time.

Dundee United were held 1-1 at home to Dumbarton ,who led from the fourth minute thanks to David Smith’s backpost finish. United rescued a point three minutes from time when James Keatings drilled in a free-kick.

Falkirk, whose title challenge has still to surface, also had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Brechin City. Alex Harris put Peter Houston’s side in front on 15 minutes but Finn Graham lashed in an equaliser 18 minutes from the end.
