What’s the last piece of clothing you bought?
Honestly, a bumper pack of Next underwear. It’s always nice to refresh the boxer shorts once every decade.
What are you addicted to buying?
My mate Matt runs a really cool Birmingham based design company called Provide and basically whenever he releases a new T-shirt I am first to buy one. They often have Birmingham imagery on them – there’s one with a car park on it and the spaghetti junction. Brill.
Best ever bargain?
I got a faux fur coat from Birmingham Oasis market a few years back for about £20. I tried to buy another one last winter but the dude wouldn’t let me try them on because “you’ll stretch the material”.
Who has great style?
I’ve always loved the way Ellen Degeneres dresses. Smart but cool.
Name your favourite high street shop.
Zara. Oh maybe COS.
Any fashion disasters
you’d care to tell us about?
I used to be a few stone heavier and would wear the most vile cardigans. I thought they would hide the fat but they just made me look like a butch grandmother.
What’s your favourite item in your wardrobe?
The three jumpers I had designed by Mcindoe for when I went on Sunday Brunch. The first is a simple egg, the second an avocado and the final some grilled halloumi with “weak at the knees for squeaky cheese” stitched into the back. n
