Skye Live

- Fiona Shepherd

The bijou Skye Live returns to its original picturesque site in Portree for its latest two-day ceilidh featuring dance music, both traditional and electronic – and in the case of house band Niteworks, a blend of the two. The glorious indie pop experimentalists Django Django, above, headline, supported by folk favourites Blazin’ Fiddles, Elephant Sessions and Jarlath Henderson. On the pop front, Glasgow’s Pronto Mama bring the funk, and Bwani Junction perform their acclaimed tribute to Paul Simon’s Graceland while Irish Dj/producer Mano Le Tough leads the electronic charge with sterling support from Skye native Mylo.
