Police officers investigate bagpipe theft

A set of bagpipes was stolen in Kyle of Lochalsh, sparking a police probe.

The instrument and its case were stolen from a car parked outside a house on Main Street in the village sometime between 6pm and 7pm on Saturday.

The Henderson bagpipes are described as being black and ivory in colour, with distinctive silver engravings and a blue bag cover marked Lochalsh Juniors.

They were stored within a black rucksack style case with red piping.

The instrument is valued at a mid-four figure sum.
