Dundee United Missing Andreu
Despite the manager’s comments and some of the press reports, it was very difficult to get excited by the United performance on Saturday.
Against a well-organised Morton, United huffed and puffed and struggled for creativity. I spent part of the game trying to identify the difference between our early-season performances last year and this, and came to the conclusion that Tony Andreu gave us the spark in games, but none of the current squad is anywhere near the standard of the classy Frenchman. However, a win is a win and the first United goal did have a touch of real class with incisive, accurate passing that created the chance for Keatings.
Saturday’s game at Dunfermline is a six -pointer against a Pars team in fine scoring form.
