Ross County Coyle’s bright start

- John Maxwell

Good work. Owen Coyle’s tenure as manager couldn’t have started much better, with a confident performance at Rugby Park giving Ross County a morale-boosting win going into the international break.

There weren’t many chances before Craig Curran opened the scoring but County enjoyed a lot of possession and territory in Killie’s half, so it wasn’t a shock when the opening goal came. It was a great goal, too.

Kilmarnock were the worst side in the league that County have had to face until now and their lack of experience in midfield really told, so our expectations should be kept in check in that respect. Nonetheless the signs are good so far.
