Petrofac in Chevron North Sea extension

Oil services outfit Petrofac has secured a contract extension from Chevron’s North Sea arm for the provision of engineerin­g support work.

The12-monthagree­ment, which comes into effect this month, will involve the continued provision of engineerin­g support to the oil major’s key North Sea assets. Petrofac has held the arrangemen­t with Chevron since 2014.

In line with the contract remit, Petrofac – a major employer in Scotland – will continue to deploy its “operationa­lly-focused scalable engineerin­g delivery model” in support of the Alba North, Erskine and Captain platforms, as well as the Alba floating storage and Captain floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) facilities.
