Vexillologists urged to submit flag designs
A county in the Highlands is calling on people to design its official flag, after its neighbour became the first to do so.
The Flag Institute has urged budding vexillologists to submit their designs for a Sutherland banner. It comes after Caithness became the first mainland community to adopt a flag.
Last year, Caithness became the first part of Scotland to adopt a flag after holding a public competition for designs.
Entries will be judged by Lord Lyon, head of Scotland’s heraldic authority the Lyon Court.
