Mcgregor labels producer a ‘bully’

Ewan Mcgregor has labelled Harvey Weinstein a “bully” over allegation­s of sexual abuse against a number of women.

The Trainspott­ing actor revealed he had “heard rumours” over the years and claimed the film producer was now getting what he deserved.

He posted on Twitter: “Wein- stein. It’s about time this came to light and he is getting is just deserts. Heard rumours over the years but this is awful. Bye Bully!”

He was joined by Kevin Bacon, who praised the courage of those women coming forward.

The actor tweeted: “Fathers. Teach your sons to respect woman. Teach your daughters to use their power like the voices of these heroic woman speaking out.” Matt Damon -–who launched his career off the back of the Weinsteinp­roduced flim Good Will Hunting – has also spoken out on the allegation­s, as have Ben Affleck, Charlize Theron, Colin Firth, George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet, Dame Judi Dench, Leonardo Dicaprio, and a number of other stars.

Damon said he was “absolutely sick” to his stomach.
