Theatre of dreams: Leading artist donates work to Citizens Theatre restoration fund

EDINBURGH

The celebrated Glasgow artist, Adrian Wiszniewski, has donated one of his paintings to the city’s Citizens Theatre as part of the institution’s drive to raise £1.7m in public funding towards its restoration.

The work, entitled Wild Boys – Gouache, will be auctioned at a gala dinner, with the proceeds going towards the overall £19.5m cost of returning the 139-year-old theatre to its former glories.
