Oxford firm named as 100th to join biotech hub
University spin-out company Oxford Biotrans has become the 100th member to join an innovation centre which aims to help the UK tap into what is predicted to become a £12 billion market.
The company, which is focused on producing scents and flavourings from natural sources, has signed up to the Glasgowbased Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre.
The centre works with companies to develop processes that are more sustainable, leading to reduced greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption and waste generation. The centre’s membership is made up of startups and spinouts, multinationals and government organisations.
