Double standard
John Mcnally MP ,( The Scotsman ,19 October), at Prime Minister’s Questions, raised the topic of Conservative MP Douglas Ross being away officiating at a football match, whenhe should have been at West min st er,ie, having a second job. On the face of it, a fair point.
However, at one point in his career, Alex Salmond was an MP and an MSP – he had two jobs. Not even Alex could be in two places at once.
I don’t recall any ‘ red cards’ being issued over this by the SNP,ie double standards at work here! WILLIAM BALLANTINE
