Ross County Perseverance pays

-

Ross County’s attacking strategy against Hamilton on Saturday was all about getting crosses into the box, as it used to be under Jim Mcintyre. However, there seemed to be more of a deliberate use of one-two passes on the flanks to release a wide player in behind the defence, to better put a cross in and it eventually paid off for the equaliser on 70 minutes.

Up until that point, County had attempted a lot of crosses and a handful of them were of real quality. There were barely any clear-cut chances, but there were several occasions where perhaps any kind of touch would have done it. County’s perseverance told in the end and substitutes Alex Schalk and Thomas Mikkelsen had a big impact in turning the game around.
