Ex-footballer probe over police assault
Former English professional footballer Trevor Sinclair has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer after being held for allegedly drink driving.
Lancashire Police said the 44-year-old had been released under investigation.
Mr Sinclair, who played for Manchester City, West Ham United and Blackpool FC, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, common assault and criminal damage on Sunday after a woman sustained minor injuries when she was hit by a car.
