POLICESCOTLAND

Under-fire Justice Secretary Michael Matheson has admitted Police Scotland is facing a “challenging time” after a string of its most senior officers were relieved of active duty over complaints. MSP @Jameskellylab tweeted: “Just caught up with the Michael Matheson interview on BBC Sunday Politics on the Police Scotland suspensions. I am not sure why he went on. Then merging the BTP with them. Chaos after chaos!” @irnbrudreaming added: “Michael Matheson is far from convincing or reassuring on Police Scotland. Rabbit in headlights springs to mind. UK govt should step in.” @muteswann tweeted: “I have zero confidence in Michael Matheson’s ability to hold Police Scotland to account. Zero. Nil. Nada. 2.”
