Pedestrian dies after motorway walk at night
A male pedestrian has died after being hit by a lorry on a motorway in the dark near Stirling.
The collision happened on the northbound carriageway of the M80 near Dunipace, about two miles south of Stirling, about 3:45am yesterday.
The man died scene.
It is not known why he was walking on the motorwayashedidnothavea vehicle nearby.
The road was closed for about five hours while police carried out investigations at the scene. Police are appealing for information about the crash.
