Celtic A fond fare-well
Familiarity breeds friction and our trilogy against Motherwell threw up plenty of it. Questionable decisions, questionable behaviour and questionable levels of perceived controversy and media coverage. I will admit I thought the unbeaten run was going to be ended in the most football of football fashions – an own goal from a debatable free kick, wastefulness in front of goal and the keeper having the game of his life.
Motherwell wear their physicality well and their approach cost them three points in this game. Blame it not on the referee nor Callum Mcgregor but solely on their approach, which mostly works for them. We deserved at least a point. On Saturday, we saw a freshening up and a comfortable win. No offence to Motherwell but I’m glad we won’t be seeing them for a while.
