End looms for handwritte­n exams in Scottish schools

It’s unfortunat­e that Scottish education is choosing to ignore the evidence that learning to write by hand is exceptiona­lly beneficial to brain developmen­t and as such should be promoted as a vital part of education and exams. – Lowly Pheasant We really are trying to get to the point where learning is no longer needed. We started by allowing calculator­s to be used in exams. Now we have people who cannot count and let’s not forget there are children leaving school who cannot read or write. – I know you know Handwritin­g can be a thing of beauty giving a guide to the personalit­y of the writer.
