River search reveals no body after alert

Emergency services have found no sign of anyone in the River Clyde following a search launched after a pair of shoes was found beside a bridge.

A member of the public alerted police at about 10:20am yesterday after finding the footwear near the King George V bridge in Glasgow.

Police, the fire service and coastguard launched a search to establish whether someone had landed in the River Clyde.
