#NIGELFARAGE

Nigel Farage yesterday admitted he was warming to the idea of having a second referendum on European Union membership while speaking on Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff. The former UKIP leader suggested holding another vote would return a more definitive ‘out’ result and “kill off the issue for a generation once and for all”. @Theopaphitis admitted: “It’s not often I agree with #Nigelfarage but maybe he’s got a point. A second referendum where you vote on what has been negotiated would be the put up or shut up moment for both sides. If out - we shut up and get on with it. If in - we shut up and get on with it.” @iainmartin1 added: “Nigel Farage says it might be time for more publicity for Nigel Farage.” @Marinahyde continued: “Farage is like a washed-up star offered the lifeline of a sequel and desperately trying to play it cool. “Look, I’ve always said if the script is right, I’d be interested. But it has to be something special.”

#RIGBYANDPELLER

Luxury underwear firm Rigby & Peller, which supplied lingerie to the Queen, lost its Royal warrant over a book that revealed details of royal bra fittings. It was withdrawn after June Kenton, who fitted bras for the Queen, released a book called ‘Storm in a D-cup’. @brit_battleaxe said: “Oh dear - June Kenton’s book reveals nothing. This is a harsh decision - I suspect merely ‘pour encourager les autres’ not to take further liberties.” @lingerie_addict added: “Bra fitters to the queen” has been Rigby & Peller’s only tagline for decades now. I wonder how they’ll tweak their brand in the future.” @Jonmorgand joked: “Keeping us abreast of what matters ..... ”

#NORTHKOREA

North Korea has announced it will be sending a huge delegation to South Korea for next month’s Winter Olympics. The delegation will include athletes, an art troupe, cheering squad, Taekwondo demonstration team and press corps. @vipersnke remarked: “To do what, Watch?” @Alexandrama15 said: “Getting North Korea to the Winter Olympics is shaping up to be a logistical nightmare.” @Thesayis added: “#Northkorea delegation to the Olympics can be granted asylum if requested.”
