Police contacted over man’s death two decades ago

-

A man has come forward offering to provide new information about a mysterious death from 20 years ago.

The body of 24-year-old Kevin Mcleod was found in Wick harbour in February 1997.

His family have suspected Mr Mcleod was murdered based on injuries found on his body.

Police Scotland has made arrangements to meet the man who has come forward. Deputy Chief Constable Iain Livingstone last month said there had been “serious failings” on the part of Northern Constabulary on the case.
