Bid specialist in expansion push

- By SCOTT REID

AM Bid Services, the bid specialist chaired by rugby legend David Sole, is eyeing further growth following an expansion of its team.

Since the business was founded by Andrew Morrison in 2014 it has increased its services from a core offering of bid and proposal writing to include masterclasses, training and bid strategy consultancy, encompassing more than 20 sectors.

Morrison has expanded his team through two key appointments. Peter Sharpe will grow the company’s presence and secure contracts in London, the south east of England and overseas in his role as bid manager and writer.

Meanwhile, Gavin Cowan has been appointed as client account executive, primarily responsible for business development in addition to client servicing.

Morrison said: “It has been a great start to 2018 and Peter and Gavin’s experience will continue to build upon the strong momentum we’ve built up over the last few years.

“With a strong pipeline already for the coming months, I am confident this year will provide us with even more opportunities to grow the business and make an even bigger impact in the bidding profession.”

Last month, North Berwickbased AM Bid reported turnover of £464,291, up 73 per cent on the year before. At the time Sole said 2017 had been a year of “exceptional” growth.
