Online trader hits out at EU

IG Group – Britain’s largest online trading platform – has warned over a “disproportionate” European clampdown on the retail investment sector as it posted record half-year profits and revenues.

It reported a 29 per cent jump in pretax profits to £136m for the six months to end-november on net trading revenues up 10 per cent at £268.4m.
